After bravely battling pneumonia along with a very recent Stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis Aaron Barnett, 55, of Edgewater FL sadly passed away May 1st, 2026, in New Smyrna Beach FL.

Aaron was born on November 5th, 1970, in Indianapolis, Indiana. At 8 years old his family moved to Australia and Aaron spent his childhood into adulthood living, working and travelling Australia. In 1999 he moved back to the U.S. with his wife Tracey and settled in the Edgewater area. In 2002 they proudly welcomed their son Jacob Barnett. Aaron lived and worked in the Edgewater community for 27 years having moved to the area in 1999.

If you knew Aaron, you knew he lived life on his terms and he definitely did so until his untimely passing. The only solace his family takes is he is not in pain anymore.

Aaron is survived by his wife Tracey Barnett, Son Jacob Barnett, Stepmother Marcia Barnett, Brother Ryan Barnett, Stepsister Rena Barnett and many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his Father Roy L. Barnett.

A celebration of life for Aaron will be held Thursday May 14th, 2026, from 6:30-7:30pm at the Pelican Cove East Pavilion which is located in the back south corner of the subdivision.
