Ada was born in Darby, Pennsylvania. She came to this area in 1982 from Maryland. She was a hairstylist. Family includes Joshua Stanton, James Stanton, William Stanton, Robert Stanton and Patricia Stanton.

Ada wanted to be remembered for her tenacity at not giving up, that she loved life and that she considered herself a "brat".

Her final request was to celebrate her life with music, song, dance and food!
