Celebration of Life for Alan Stedman, 66, New Smyrna Beach, FL who died peacefully Monday, March 30, 2010 will be 12 Noon Saturday, April 3 at Coronado Community United Methodist Church 200 S Peninsula New Smyrna Beach FL with The Reverend Sarah Lund and The Reverend Esther Robinson officiating. Alan was born in North Hampton, Massachusetts. He came to New Smyrna Beach in 1956 where the family owned and operated Stedman's Laundry since then. Alan was a member of the United Church of Christ New Smyrna Beach where he enjoyed volunteering and built a rainforest garden on the grounds. He also enjoyed landscaping, gardening and volunteering his time at the Halifax Urban Ministries Meal Kitchen and stamp collecting. He leaves to cherish his memory daughters Laura Haynes and Alison Coslow both of Edgewater, father Phil Stedman of New Smyrna Beach, sister Kristin Clemmer of Lansdale, PA, brother Gary Stedman of Sedona, AZ and grandchildren Zachary and Andrew Haynes and Colonia, Aaron and Nathan Coslow.
