IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Albert L.
Dippel Jr.
April 9, 1942 – January 9, 2024
Albert L. Dippel Jr. "AL" passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2024 at home, with his beloved wife Linda and son Albert Dippel III by his side. Al was born on April 9th, 1942 in Queens, NY. He was 81 years of age.
He is survived by his wife Linda Dippel and his son Albert III and step children Diana (Evanciew) husband Paul, Marvin (Corky) Hollandsworth, Richard Thomas III, Vannessa (Smith) and husband Christopher, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, and all his cousins that called him Albie. He was preceded to heaven by his parents Albert L. and Ruth (Reynolds)Dippel, and brother Robert C. Dippel.
He graduated from Great Neck H.S. then went on to New York Tech for architect. Then moved on to join the US Air Force serving from 1962 to 1966 at Griffiths AFB in Rome NY. He worked in sales and management his entire career from Freihofers Baking Co. (now Bimbo), AMG, and most recently at Pocono International Raceway for over 18 years where he truly found a team that treated him like family especially all the Mattiolis'.
Al was a great family man and a loving husband and father. There was so much more to him than just a husband and Dad, though to us that was his greatest role. He was also a friend, a brother, cousin, coworker and colleague, stand-in paternal figure to the fatherless. He loved to travel and take cruises, go to Disney, racing tracks be it Dirt or NASCAR, but he liked all sports football, basketball, baseball, bowling, golf, and the list goes on and on.
Viewing will be held on January 18,2024 from 2pm to 4pm at Baldwin Brothers 620 Dunlawton Avenue Port Orange, FL 32127 Then on January 19, 2024 at 11:00am a Mass at The Basilica of St. Paul Catholic Church 317 Mullally St Daytona Beach, Florida 32114 with cremation at later date.
