Obituary

Alfred (Al) William Jones, 66, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Greensburg, IN, passed away July 27, 2018 at Serenity Place V.A. Medical Center in Lake City, FL. Al was born on June 22, 1952, in Los Angeles, CA, to the late William Edward and Anna Mae Jones. He graduated from Lawndale High School in Lawndale, CA, and served in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard for two years. Al was the proud owner and operator of Hydra Steam Cleaning Services for over 25 years. Tennis was  a lifelong passion of Al's. He coached his daughter, Gayal, from the time she could hold a racket. He also met his wife Carol (Hoene), whom he married on August 19, 1995, through tennis. Al was a volunteer assistant coach for the University of Indianapolis Women's Tennis Team for two years and then happily served as Head Boys' Tennis Coach at Greensburg High School for several years. Besides tennis, Al enjoyed playing chess, bridge, and pinochle. In addition to his wife Carol Jones, of Ocala, FL, survivors include, two daughters: Alissa Willard, of Hawthorne, CA, and Gayal (Mike) Jones, of Mooresville, IN, three granddaughters: Briana Donnelly, of Denver, CO, and Savanha and Kristyonah Donnelly of Hawthorne, CA. Other survivors include: one sister, Tina (Larry) LeCount, one niece, Cassandra LeCount, one nephew, Christopher LeCount, and one great nephew, Tristan LeCount, all of El Mirage, AZ.  In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by three brothers – James John, Donald Michael, and Kell Edward Jones. According to Al's wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no services. Online condolences can be sent to Baldwin Brothers at BALDWINCREMATION.COM.
