Alice Virginia Trader Brower of Oak Hill, Florida went peacefully to her Lord on August 24, 2018 at the Halifax Health Hospice in Edgewater, FL.

She was born on March 19, 1926 in Elmira, New York to Gustav Albert and Mary Louise (Dalzell) Trader.  She married the love of her life, Glenn H. Brower of Seneca Falls, New York on December 20, 1945 at Trinity Church in Elmira, New York and the two formed a life in Chicago, IL. They were faithfully married for 69 years.

She is survived by her three children. Virginia Lou (Michael) Underwood, their son – Michael Glenn (Tricia) Underwood and their four children, Alexa, Owen, Aiden and Everly. Stephen Charles (Mary J (Jody)) Brower, their two daughters – Kristen Ann (Craig) Leighton and granddaughter Allison Leighton. Stephanie Nicole (Stephen) Burke. Roberta Brower (Curt) Johnson and his two children – daughter Courtney (Terry) Rowan and their three children, AnnaRose, Charlotte and Nathan Rowan. Son, Chapin (Krista) Johnson.

She is the last of her generation following her brothers William Dalzell Trader, Robert Louis Trader and sister Mary Louise (Walter) Nelcowski.

While living in Chicago she was an active Church member, Boy Scout Den Mother, Past Auxiliary President of the American Legion Post 21 twice and an active member of the Catalina 22 Sailing Association of Chicago.

After retiring to Edgewater Florida with her husband in 1987 she became active in the Oak Hill Garden Club, Pelican Piece Makers Quilting Club and Knitting Club at Church. She joined a bowling league and loved to play cards and bingo. In her spare time she was a passionate knitter and quilt maker.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church located at 1650 Live Oak Street, New Smyrna Beach, FL on August 30, 2018 at 10:00am.
