Obituary

Alice L. Hall, beloved partner, mother, sister, and daughter, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024, surrounded by her family at the age of 71. Alice's life was a testament to compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones and her community.

Born on February 18, 1953, in Pennsylvania, Alice was the daughter of John (II) and Mary Long. Her career found her working in mills and quality control. Alice grew up with a deep sense of compassion and kindness, traits that defined her throughout her life. These traits led her to spend her last years as a caregiver for others.

In her leisure time, Alice enjoyed being on the water, motorcycles, and spending time with her family and grandkids. She also cherished the time she spent with her granddogs and would spoil them any chance she could. Alice was funny as well, and she loved to joke.

Alice is survived by her loving partner, William Breneman; her mother, Mary Long, her sons, Billy Hall and his family and Ricky Long and his family, and her daughters, Ionia Marley and her family, April Hall-Rao and her family. She also is survived by her sisters, Bonnie Cope and family, Nita Dillard and family, Alma Anderson and family, Judy Moore and family, and Matie Phillips and family, and her brother, John Long III, 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters and many great-grandchildren.

Alice's kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire generations to come. Rest in peace, dear Alice, your light will shine forever in our hearts.
