Alice Catherine Potts (Beckman), 83, of Mount Dora, Florida passed away at her residence. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Edward and Alice Beckman.  Alice was a Stay at home mom. She was a devout Catholic and played a large role in raising her granddaughter Alyssa. She enjoyed spending time with family and going to Disney. She loved saying the rosary and novenas, and checking facebook as her way of staying in touch with family. She was sassy, and had a straight-forward of telling you what needed to be said.  She is survived by her children Irv Brockway (Karen) of Southside, AL, Patricia Brockway of Brighton, IL, Kelly Potts Lawler (Patrick) of Mount Dora, FL, and stepdaughter Marye Potts of Alsip, IL.  6 grandchildren, Chasity Resurreccion of Carson, CA, Theresa Silknitter, of Whitewater, KS, Kevin Brockway of Brighton, IL, Alyssa Lawler of Mount Dora, FL, Lindzay Sonne (Potts), Carly Gomez (Potts), 5 great-grandsons, Alex and Edward Resurreccion, Samuel and Aiden Ochsner, Luke Silknitter, 1 great-granddaughter Payton Silknitter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Eugene Potts, daughter Kathy Brockway, and brother Robert "Bud" Beckman.
