Allan Isaak Kenyon, age 88, of The Villages, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on July 27, 2022, following a very brief illness. He was born on January 15, 1934, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son on the late Meredith and Sophie Kenyon. He grew up in Beresford, South Dakota, and returned to Nebraska for college and beyond. Allan's first career was as a radio personality playing the top hits on his evening show. He then began an eighteen year career with Dale Carnegie Training, helping thousands of people to live happier and more productive lives. When he married Barbara Pocras in 1989, they merged forces and Kenyon Coaching was born. Allan and Barbara co-authored the motivational book, Fire Up Your Life NOW! 25 Secrets for Creating the Life You Really Want, and helped clients from around the globe to live their best life NOW. Allan continued his involvement in their business until his death. He remained healthy and active to the end, and enjoyed each day as it came. Allan was a quiet gentle man whose greatest joy was championing everybody he encountered, and especially his family. His family meant everything to him and was his number one priority, always.
Allan is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara Kenyon of The Villages, Florida; his son Todd Kenyon and his grandson Eli Kenyon of Minneapolis, MN; his son Jordan Kenyon and his daughter-in-law Jackie Kenyon, also of Minneapolis, MN; his daughter Meredith Kenyon of Lexington, KY; his brother Howard Kenyon of Peoria, AZ; and his nieces, nephews, and many good friends. Should you wish, memorial contributions may be made to Temple Shalom of Central Florida, 13563 County Road 101, Oxford, FL 34484.
