LEWIS, ALLISON L., 84   Allison L. Lewis, Jr., of Gainesville, FL, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 in New Port Richey, FL.    Dr. Allison L. Lewis held a Ph.D. in Philosophy and was Professor of Humanities and Philosophy at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Allison graduated from Seabreeze High School (Daytona Beach), University of Florida (Gainesville) and Duke University (Durham, NC).  Allison also served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.   Allison was born September 3, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, the youngest of four children of Dr. Allison L. Lewis, Sr. and Florence Mealey Lewis of Pittsburgh, PA and Daytona Beach, FL.   Allison is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Constance Lewis Fick (Westbrook, ME) and Florence M. Lewis (Orlando, FL).    Allison is survived by his brother, Joseph W. Lewis (Holiday and Orlando, FL), nieces Heidi Fick Kelly, Paula Lewis Tiedemann, Rebecca Lewis Johnson and nephew Ronald L. Fick.   A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, January 9, 2015, 2:00 p.m., at Woodlawn Memorial Park (Orlando, FL). Arrangements are in the care of Baldwin Brothers Dove Chapel (Orlando, FL).
