Alvin A. Mincer (Sonny), 84, of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away peacefully at home on October 7th 2026, with his devoted wife Judy by his side.

Born on February 28th 1942 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, the only child of the late Amiel and Catherine Mincer, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and a cherished member of his Heritage Oak Park Waterside IV community. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judith (Shoff). Also survived by and proud father of his children, Geoffrey Mincer of Evans City, PA and Stephanie Lawrence (Mincer) of Port Charlotte, FL. and granddaughter Taylor Lawrence (Rogers, AR); as well as several nieces and nephews.

Al served as a volunteer fireman in multiple communities throughout the greater Pittsburgh area and was the former owner of AJ's Tavern in Lawrenceville. He and Judy especially enjoyed spending time with their group of very close friends.

No services or celebrations of life are planned at this time.
