Andrea passed away at age 76 on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 after a brief stay at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Family members were at her side at the time of her passing.

Andrea was born in Flint, Michigan March 19, 1948, the daughter of John H. and Ida Elaine (Penny) Powell. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Parnell; her loving twin children, Adam (Bethany) Ladd and Allyson (Matthew) Jeffries of St. Louis, Missouri; her precious grandson Liam Ladd and her precious granddaughter Vera Ladd as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother John Michael (Linda) Powell of Nashville, Tennessee, her sister Lynn Powell Cattell of New Bremen, Ohio, her brother James Ernest (Denise) Powell of Cumming, GA, her father John H. Powell of Alpharetta, Georgia, and her mother Ida Elaine (Penny) Powell of Alpharetta, Georgia.

Andrea grew up in Ohio and was a 1966 graduate of Beavercreek High School in Beavercreek, Ohio and attended Eastern Michigan University and University of Dayton. After marrying Parnell, they resided in St. Louis, Missouri, Pensacola, Florida and retired to The Villages, Florida. Andrea worked as an Executive Secretary at Frigidaire in Dayton, Ohio. She also worked as an Executive Secretary in the Administration Office at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri. She was very active in volunteering for the elementary and middle schools in Pensacola and was a member of the Pensacola Women's Club. She later worked as a receptionist for Prudential Real Estate in Ballwin, MO. In her retirement years, she was very active with golf, reading, mah jongg, card games and various other activities associated with The Villages lifestyle.

She was a very loving and caring person and will be greatly missed.
