The Story of Andrea Taouche, Daughter, Friend, Wife, Mother, Again a Daughter and Sister

Andrea transcended to be with God on Ash Wednesday, 2025. She was daughter to Tad, Katie, Ted and Lisa, friend to many, wife of Hachemi, mother of two beautiful daughters and one son, and sister to Jordan and Elizabeth.

Growing up she was known as "Andi"  Figgatt to all her friends and family.  She was a graduate of Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida. She graduated with a journalism degree from University of Florida and worked as a freelance photographer in her early career with the The Washington Times .  She sold part of her archived photographs of Danny Wuerffel, who later became a Heisman Memorial Trophy winner.  Her photography skills brought her across the country as she continued as a photojournalist with the Las Vegas Review . Andrea, with her self taught passion for the french culture and baking, and her skills as a patisserie, landed her a position as the Pastry Chef at acclaimed restaurant Bohanan's in San Antonio. Andrea continued to raise her daughter and came back to her home in Florida where she would live the rest of her years.  She broadened her skills and worked as head chef and kitchen manager for private schools including St. Johns Lutheran Day School in Texas and Holy Cross Lutheran Academy in Florida, whilst improving the quality and nutrition of the offerings including taking out artificial Sweeteners and making homemade maple blueberry syrup for the kids pancakes! She weaved her passions and experience of Culinary Arts, Wellness, Marketing, Advertising, Photography and Photojournalism into all aspects of Motherhood.

She had a gift for languages include French, and Italian. Andrea and her husband Hachemi met by her desire to become fluent in Spanish. They traveled  throughout Spain and fell in love after years of "Learning Spanish". ;-;-)  With God's blessings, they created two children and continue to raise them together until her earthly departure.

Andrea's motto was one she posted on every email:

"To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven." Johannes A. Gaertner

Andrea was loved by her co-workers and strangers she met while on her early morning walks. Andrea would talk to everyone she passed with her offerings of a smile, an ear, and pleasantries. She always greeted strangers with empathy and kindness regardless of status and situation. She loved and she was loved.  We are honored to have been her Mother, Father, Friend, her Daughter, Husband, Daughter, Son, Father again, Step Mother, Aunt, Uncle, Brother and Sister. Truly to God we belong and Truly to God We shall Return.
