Andres Reyes Mendez, 47, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at HCA Shorepoint Hospital in Port Charlotte surrounded by his family. Andres was born in the Bronx, New York, to William Reyes and Milgros Rodriguez.

In addition to his parents, Andres is survived by his wife of over 17 years, Ninochka Colon Rodriguez; his children, Ashlly Reyes of Punta Gorda, Adrian Reyes of Boston, Aleishka Reyes of Punta Gorda, Andres S. Reyes of Punta Gorda; brother, William Reyes and sister, Beatriz Reyez both of Puerto Rico; nieces and nephews, Edliomar Rodriguez, Keisy Milie Rodriguez, William Reyes; several other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Andres and his wife moved to Florida in 2012 from Puerto Rico. He was a hardworking mechanic and enjoyed fixing all kinds of things. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and riding the four wheelers. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 5-7PM at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home located at 1100 El Jobean Road, Port Charlotte, FL 33948. A private family viewing will be from 4-5PM. Cremation will follow after the service.
