Andrew L. “Andy” Ramsdell, 83, of Ocala, Florida, passed away of natural causes on September 3, 2026. Born on August 11, 1943, in Orlando, Florida.

Andy was the son of Raymond Ramsdell and Lilla Belle Cooper. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Throughout his working years, Andy held several occupations, including serving as an Orlando police officer, an optician, and a truck driver.

Andy was a caring, kind, loving, giving, and loyal man. He had a passion for artwork in many different forms and will be remembered for the warmth and generosity he shared with those around him.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Betty Anne Ramsdell, whom he married on November 21, 1964; his siblings, Kenneth R. Ramsdell, Ronald K. Ramsdell, and Nancy Lee Ramsdell; and his granddaughter, Kalynn Denise Walker.

He is survived by his daughter, Kara L. Bolesta (Ben) of Ocala, Florida; his grandson, Jeremy Bolesta (Cassidy) of Ocklawaha, Florida; his great-granddaughter, Mya N. Anderson; his great-grandson, Cayden M. Anderson; his great-grandson, Weston G. Bolesta; and his great-granddaughter, Adelyn L. Bolesta.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Good Shepherd Memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gentiva Hospice.

Andy’s life was one of service, devotion, creativity, and love. His caring spirit and loyalty to those he loved will remain a treasured part of his family’s memories for generations to come.
