Andrew T. Puro, Jr "Tom"

Passed away peacefully at home in Mims, FL on December 21, 2020 at the age of 75.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Linda, whom he loved and was fortunate to have as his primary care giver while battling health issues.  He also loved and was proud of his children, daughters Andrea (David) Schrader of Iowa Colony, TX, Tammy (Ernie) Carrasco of Davison, MI and sons Brandon (Hannah) Puro of Portland, OR and Justin (Erin) Puro of Columbia, SC

Tom will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Stephanie (Joe), Jordan, Alex, Courtney, Josh, Zach (Tara), Ali, Danielle, Kylie, Braden and Ella. He had six great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Aiden, Austin, Olivia, Addalyn, and Sadie.

He is survived by his sisters Patti (David) Kuhns, Kim (Mike) Schafer and brother Dave (Xiaoyan) Kaplan.  Sisters-in-law: Cathy (Bob) Courtemanche, Debbie Cornett, and brother-in-law George (Shella) Cornett.

Tom will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Tom (Frannie), Courtney (Chris), Brent (Carly), Leah, and Gabrielle.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the Sand Dollar Team of Hospice of St Francis, Titusville, FL for their help in comforting and caring for Tom in his last days.

Tom was born to Andrew and Betty Puro in Flint, MI on June 10, 1945.  He was a loving and devoted husband and father.  He raised his two sons as a single parent and was active in their activities and was a den leader in the Boy Scouts.  Tom worked in the Genesee County Sheriffs Department as an officer and diver. He retired from General Motors/UAW Local 599 after 42 years. He had the privilege of being a UAW program facilitator.  Tom has always been a man of character and integrity known for his sense of humor and quick wit.  He loved and cared for his dogs Molly and Bailey.

In accordance with Tom's wishes cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be planned in late summer or early fall.  The family requests those desiring to make a contribution can do so to the Humane Society or Hospice of St Francis Foundation, Titusville, FL.
