Anita Mendez, born on August 23, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York, left us on April 15, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.

Anita was the loving daughter to Rose Sorrentino and sister to Frank Sorrentino.

Anita is preceded in death by her brother Joseph Sorrentino.

Anita's life was a testament to joy and laughter. She found immense happiness in the company of her three beloved daughters—Tara, Lana, and Ashley—and her loving son-in-laws Richie, Arthur, and Justin. Her grandchildren, who called her "Mumpsie", Justin, Julien, Victoria, Alyssa, Jayden, and Brooklyn, each a bright star in her life, will deeply miss her smile, her sense of humor, and her ever-positive, happy attitude.  Her family was her pride and joy.

Anita's most cherished moments were the ones spent with her family and friends creating memories.  While we will miss her terribly, her spirit lives on in the moments and memories we all hold dear.

A memorial service is being held at St. James Catholic Cathedral, 215 N Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32801, on June 22nd at 12 PM. Here, we will remember the woman who brought so much joy into our lives and honor her lasting legacy.
