Anita Lucille Peloquin, 96, of Dunnellon, FL passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.  Anita was born in Woonsocket, RI to Ovila and Aldea Lafond. She worked as a seamstress for Needle Craft and Fashion Sportswear (both in Woonsocket, RI). She and her late husband Gerald Peloquin moved to Florida in the 1980's.  First to Vero Beach and then later settling in Dunnellon in 2008, when they moved closer to her son and daughter in law Russell and Shirley Peloquin.    Anita enjoyed having fun in the clubhouse in Dunnellon Square, volunteering at the community thrift store in Dunnellon, and making new friends wherever she went.  Anita was predeceased by her husband Gerald in 2012 and her brother Norman Lafond.

She is survived by her son Russell and wife Shirley Peloquin, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Church of the Advent, 11251 SW Hwy 484 in Dunnellon, FL 34432.  Anita will be laid to rest with her husband Gerald at the memorial garden at Church of the Advent in Dunnellon, FL.
