NASCAR lost its biggest fan when ANNA WARD crossed the finish line on July 2, 2017 at the age of 99. Anna was born in Dayton Ohio on Sept 30, 1917. She lived there most of her life but later split her time between her home on Grand Lake in Ohio and her home in Dania Beach FL. She moved to The Villages in 2009. She is survived by her daughter Kaye Phelan (Tim) of The Villages and her son Charles Ward (Donna) of Miamisburg OH., 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held July 15th at 11am at the United Church of Christ at The Villages on CR101. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The United Church of Christ at The Villages.
