Annina Netto, age 94, of Somerville, MA, passed away peacefully with two of her daughters by her side on March 20, 2023. Annina was born on August 24, 1928, in Arlington, MA. She was the beloved daughter of the late Italo and Elena Capasso. She was an exceptional woman whose life revolved around her family. She loved to host big holiday dinners and help celebrate milestones. Annina became the second mother to numerous children in her neighborhood through babysitting and helping at the local school. Late in life she went to live with her daughter Jean and son-in-law Anthony in Plymouth. She was a significant part of her granddaughters, Meagan and Emily's life from soccer games to lazy pool days.

Annina Netto was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Netto. She was the adored mother of Manuel Netto and his wife Patricia, of Weymouth, MA; Jean Morato and her husband Anthony of Ocala, FL; John Netto and wife Mary of Maynard, MA; Dorothy Fumicello and her husband Steven of Woburn, MA; Joanne Sheckells and her husband Richard of Coatsville, PA. Annina was also the amazing nana to Michelle and Nicole Netto of Weymouth, MA; Meagan Olney and her husband Kenneth of Ocala, FL; Emily Morato of St. Petersburg, FL; Matthew Sheckells and his wife Allison of Horsham, PA; Jessica Sheckells of Coatsville, PA; and Joseph Sheckells of Coatsville, PA. She was the treasured great grandmother of Henry and Alex Olney of Ocala, FL; and Addison and Sophia Sheckells of Horsham, PA.

She was preceded in death by nine siblings and her infant daughter, Annina. She is survived by her brother Sonny Capasso of Arlington, MA and many loving nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered for her ability to make you laugh and her love for Josh Groban. And she will be missed by ALL. She was legend. She was an icon. In lieu of flowers, you can send a donation to the charity of your choice in Annina's name.
