Anthony Joseph Toscano went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 10th at the age of 75 while doing what he loved and did exceptionally well… being an electrician. He had just started his new Business, Watts Up Electric, Inc., when heat exhaustion overtook him while performing a job in an attic….it was quick and painless. He was born in Philadelphia, the son of Anthony J. Toscano and Carmella Martino-Toscano. He went to Atlantic City, New Jersey frequently with his parents and brother, Richard Toscano, where he enjoyed swimming, boating and fishing. He and his family lived in Overbrook Park, PA where he graduated from Overbrook High School. He married his first wife, Joyce Toscano, and they had two beautiful children, Danielle and Chad (married to Noelle), and now four precious grandchildren, Tony, Brody, Josiah and Toby. His first wife Joyce and Tony moved from Highland Park, PA to Kennett Square, PA when they bought a horse farm in the 80's. There he loved to go fox hunting and compete in events winning many ribbons. He became an electrician at the age of 25 and started a business called Highland Electric. He was one of the top 10 electricians in the Philadelphia area. On May 21, 2016, he married Sandra L. George at the St. Petersburg Inn in Eleverson, PA. It was a joyful event and their love and the love of all present was in the air. Five months later Tony and Sandy moved to The Villages, Florida fulfilling her lifetime dream of falling in love and marrying, and many years of dreaming of life in The Villages. Tony fell in love with The Villages "at first sight." While living here he and his wife enjoyed new friendships and continued friendships with those who moved here from Pennsylvania. He developed new interests and activities as well and loved to continue to dance like he and his wife did at the ballrooms in Pennsylvania. He continued his 30+ years of enjoying volleyball, especially with his son, Chad. He joined the Archery Club here, and loved to shoot archery and participate in Archery Tournaments. He played pickleball a few times a week, and enjoyed shooting pool with his friend, Rich. He also was a member of the "Band of Brothers" as he was a Veteran in the Coast Guard. There will be a military ceremony and burial to honor his service at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA at some point in the near future. Tony was at his peak…achieving the remarkable goal of getting his electrician license and establishing a new business here in Florida; a success from day one as attested to by all of his clients. He loved and was deeply loved by his wife and by friends and family in Pennsylvania making beautiful memories there, and developed a new family of friends in The Villages with whom wonderful and lasting memories were made. He attended both Live Oaks Community Church and St. Timothy's Church, which he went to the day before he went to Heaven. He was healthy and active and we can only imagine the reunion he is having with friends and family now, and the new and exciting things he is pursuing and enjoying in eternity.
