On Friday, May 7 ^th , 2021, Antonino Coraci, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away at his home in Sarasota, surrounded by family at the age of 86.

"Tony" was born on September 13, 1934 in Palermo, Sicily to Vincenzo and Maria Coraci. On April 14, 1962, Tony married the love of his life, Providenza. They raised a son, Vincent, and two daughters, Maria and Lisa.

Tony was an extremely proud Sicilian and Italian, serving in the Italian Army before pioneering much of his family's emigration to Flemington, New Jersey in 1965 and afterwards securing their employment at a local furniture factory. In 1978, Tony moved his family to the sun and opportunity of Sarasota where he owned and operated Florida Upholstery.

Tony was an honest and respected man in both Sicily and the communities of New Jersey and Florida he called home. His love and honor for his family and Italian heritage was unmatched. Tony was also passionate in his enjoyment of biking, fishing, and bowling – outdone perhaps only by his love of pasta!

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Vincenzo, his mother, Maria and brothers Vito and Paul.

He is survived by his wife, Providenza, his three children, Maria, Vincent (Carleen), Lisa (Robert Sherwood), seven grandchildren, Tricia, Tara, Tyler, Kaila, Francesca, Triston, McKeelie, and one great grandchild, Hayden. Tony is also survived by his brother, Emilio, his sisters Rose Maltese, Josephine Mausteller, Maria Basacchi and cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
