IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Arlene
Klann
December 16, 1935 – June 22, 2023
Arlene Marie Klann, 87, passed away peacefully at Cate's House Hospice Care on June 22, 2023.
Arlene was born on December 16, 1935 in Evanston, Illinois. She was one of four children in a happy blended family. She moved to Chappaqua, NY where she attended Horace Greeley High School and was an avid field hockey player. She finished her studies at Penn Hall Junior College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Arlene spent her career in fashion as a model for many years. She was a beautiful woman and had such style and grace.
Arlene had two children, her son Stephen Gertenbach (Jennifer) and her daughter Gail Winger (Rod), who were her angels. She supported them through school and all their many sporting activities. She passed along her passion for golf to both children, who both love the game like she did. After both Stephen and Gail went off to college, Arlene left the frigid temperatures in Wisconsin and moved to Boca Raton, Florida to be near her parents and enjoy golf and sun all year.
Arlene then moved to Ocala, Florida in September of 2000 with her beloved husband Ed (Eddie). They enjoyed their retirement as avid golfers, and loved the "Club". One of the highlights of her golfing career was a hole in one at Oak Run Country Club. When they weren't on the golf course, they enjoyed socializing and trying new restaurants. She also spent many days cheering on her husband's softball team and loved to cook. She especially enjoyed cooking fresh fish that Ed had caught.
She was preceded in death by her parents Myron and Carlene Trapani, her brother Arthur Trapani, sister Susan Frederick and brother Myron Trapani, Jr. She is survived by her beloved husband Edward (Ed) Klann, her son, Stephen Gertenbach (Jennifer), her daughter Gail Winger (Rodney), three stepchildren Kim Watson, Christine Loriaux (Tom) and David Klann (Regina) and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
