ARTHUR ANTHONY GREGGO, JR.

Arthur Anthony Greggo, Jr., 79 of Port Orange passed away peacefully November 5 ^th , 2022.  Art is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Elaine (Herring) Greggo; daughter Dawn (Carl) Bentley, Largo, Fl; and son Anthony (Jan) Greggo, Ormond Beach, Fl; grandsons Kyle Bentley & Tyler (Rebecca) Bentley; sister Janet (Ted) Skibicki, Dagsboro, De; brother Robert (Patty) Greggo, Orlando, Fl; stepchildren, Chris (Sandy) Walsh, Mims, Fl; Patti (Sandy) Smith, Orlando, Fl; Shawn Walsh, Macon, Ga; 5 stepgrandchildren and 2 stepgreatgrandchildren, and 3 nieces. He is preceded in death by his father Arthur Greggo, Sr. and mother Sophia Greggo.

Born in Wilmington, Delaware, Oct 26, 1943, Art had an early career in the aircraft refurbishment industry beginning at 19 years old with Atlantic Aviation.  A competition racing team bi-plane he artfully and meticulously painted now hangs in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.  Following his move to Orlando in 1977, he became Vice President of Operations for Page Avjet Corp.

A selfless person, Art built strong and colorful relationships wherever he went throughout his aircraft career and later with his son in the automotive parts industry. Art was a businessman, enjoyed hunting, loved the water and was an avid fisherman.  He spent 10 years in the Florida Keys where he fished and loved to take his wife and family diving and fishing.  He loved his family, the Church, enjoyed cooking and good food, loved to banter, serve others and make his family laugh. He enjoyed getting all the family together for the holidays and loved to cook for everyone.

He cared deeply for his two children, Anthony and Dawn, his grandsons Kyle and Tyler and would have done most anything for them.  He adored his two cockatiels, Sweetpea and Peanut and his granddogs, Beau and Jack Wagon.

Mostly homebound for the past four years Art dealt with the difficulties of hemo- dialysis five days a week at home.  He and Elaine were faithfully devoted to one another, managing his healthcare with the deepest love and hope.  During their 37 years of marriage Art and Elaine lived in many parts of Florida, usually near the water, relishing good food and good times with family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Catholic Church of the Epiphany in Port Orange, Fl

Thurs. November 17th at 11:00 am. and his ashes will be inurned at Daytona Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made

to the American Kidney Fund or Journey's End Animal Sanctuary in Deland, FL.
