Arthur Bernard Sanchagrin, born in Albany, New York, was raised in Rouses Point, New York, where he attended primary school and graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1962.

Following high school, Arthur attended Albany Business School, studying accounting. In 1964, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. He served as a Military Police officer in Germany from 1964 to 1966.

After returning home from military service, Arthur worked at Ayerst Laboratories, where he met and married Judy Eve Drown in 1967. Together they began building a family while Arthur continued his education. He enrolled at Husson College in Bangor, Maine, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1970.

Arthur transitioned from a professional accounting career into the coffee industry. He went on to spend more than 25 years with Superior Coffee & Tea. He became widely respected throughout the coffee business, earning a reputation as both an industry legend and a trusted friend. The relationships he built with customers and colleagues became lifelong friendships that he treasured.

Arthur and Judy shared 32 years of marriage until Judy's passing in 1999. Together they raised three daughters: Kelley Sue Vanderkleed (Jerry), Tonya Eve Powell (Warren) and Tyese Bernice Mayer (Dan). Arthur took great pride in providing for his family, especially travel and higher education for his daughters.

In 2001, Arthur married Nancy Anderson Lazenby, beginning another wonderful chapter filled with love, travel, and family gatherings. He warmly welcomed Nancy's family into his own, including her daughter, Stacey Malaret (Pedro) and her son, Johnny Lazenby.

Arthur eventually made his home in Bay Hill, Orlando, Florida, where he lived for many years. A passionate golfer, he was a proud member of Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge and Orange Tree Golf Club for more than three decades. Golf was far more than a pastime—it was one of his greatest passions. He enjoyed playing courses around the world, from his home course at Bay Hill to the legendary fairways of Pebble Beach and St Andrews. Whether traveling with family and friends, entertaining, or simply sharing stories after a round of golf, Arthur embraced every opportunity to enjoy life and bring people together. He was known for his infectious personality, his love of a good party, and the many friendships he cultivated.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Lewis Sanchagrin and Bernice Laura Aubrey Sanchagrin; his first wife, Judy Eve Sanchagrin; his brothers, Albert Sanchagrin and Mike Sanchagrin; and his sisters, Dolores Smith and Pat Babbie.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy; his daughters, Kelley, Tonya, and Tyese; his beloved grandchildren, Devyn, Jeff, Jordan, Grace, Major, Brandon, Madison, and Lexi; his sister, Cathy Sanchagrin; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A funeral service and burial will be held in Mooers, New York, with the date to be announced. Arthur lived with gusto, generosity, humor, and gratitude. He will be remembered as a proud father and grandfather, loyal friend, respected businessman, proud veteran, and lifelong golfer whose greatest legacy is the family he loved and the lives he touched along the way.
