Toots was born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania. She worked during her life as a retail sales manager. She has lived in New Smyrna Beach since 1998. Toots was the ultimate party planner. She loved to organize events and enjoyed serving others. Her special interests included Wayne Newton in Las Vegas. Toots was Resident of the Year in 2006 at Summerville Assisted Living. She leaves to cherish her memory a son John "Jack" Thomas of New Smyrna Beach, brother Leon Lewis of Williamsport, PA. A memorial service will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 22 at Baldwin Brothers Memorial Chapel. Following cremation Toots will be laid to rest with her late husband John S Thomas at All Saints Memorial Park in Elysburg, Pennsylvania.
