Augusta Mae “Becca” Curtis

Augusta Mae “Becca” Curtis, 94, of Mims, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2026.

Becca was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her throughout her life. She was born in North Tonawanda, New York, to the late Charles and Helen Shirbach.

Becca found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She especially loved playing cards, with penny poker being one of her favorite pastimes. More than anything, she treasured spending time with her family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.

She is survived by her sons, Charles Curtis and James Curtis; her daughters-in-law, Gail Curtis, Sherri Curtis, and Helen Curtis; her son-in-law, Rodney Cooper; her sister-in-law, Jaqueline Curtis; her brother-in-law, Edward Rost; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren, all of whom will deeply miss her love, kindness, and gentle spirit.

Becca was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Curtis; her son, Ralph Curtis, Jr.; her daughter, Shirley Cooper; her grandson, Jeremy Curtis; her parents, Charles and Helen Shirbach; and her brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.

Becca's legacy of faith, love, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
