Obituary

TITUSVILLE – Barbara L. Balliro, 68, of Titusville, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 8, 2024 at Parrish Medical Center, Titusville, FL.

Born November 27, 1955 in Portland, ME, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Whitestone and his wife the late Zelda Whitestone of Norwood. Barbara grew up in Norwood, MA and was a graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1973. She moved to North Attleborough in 1985 where she was a longtime resident before relocating to Titusville, FL with her husband William Swenson.

She worked as a dental assistant for over 30 years with various practices.  Barbara was a loving mother who would do anything for her children.  Barbara was completely devoted to her family.  She had a heart of gold and showed it in many ways.  Anyone who knew Barbara knew that she was loyal and by their side, but they also knew that Barabara did not hold back when telling you how she felt.  The greatest joy in her life was when she got to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Barbara was never shy to tell you how happy and proud being around her family made her feel.

Beyond Family, Barbara loved her animals dearly. She would treat them just like one of her own children.  Her joys extended to spending time at the beach, being in warm weather, taking rides on the motorcycle, and living life to its fullest. She will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her friends and family. She truly loved each of them- and if you knew her, you knew it. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, strength, and full of love. She will be missed dearly.

Beloved Wife and Mother, she is survived by her Husband William Swenson of Titusville, FL, her daughter Jamie Fonseca and her husband Brian of Milford, MA; her son Michael Balliro and his wife Mariah of Middletown, CT; her son Ian Swenson of Worcester, MA; her six grandchildren and her brother Larry Whitestone of Port St Lucie, FL; as well as additional family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Zelda Whitestone, the father of her children and former husband Michael "Rusty" Balliro, as well as other beloved family members and cherished animals.

A Private service will be held with her family and close friends. Thank you to all the friends and family who supported Barbara throughout the years.  Barbara would appreciate you showing her love for her by voting republican and for Trump in 2024.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association online at Lung.org , your local animal shelter or to the Trump Campaign in her memory.
