Barbara Ann Brewer, 82, of Fort Myers, passed away at her home on October, 1, 2019. Born March 1, 1937 in Bound Brook, NJ., she was the daughter of George P. Van Fleet and Marjorie H. Austin. Barbara worked as an alcoholism counselor within the mental health field numerous years before her retirement.

Barbara lived in Bridgewater, NJ for over 30 years before moving to first Naples and then Fort Myers Florida for the rest of her life. She was active in PTO and  PTA in the Bridgewater School System, being elected president at Green Knoll School several times while her children were in school. She was also an avid bowler in several leagues. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Somerville for many years.  She graduated Bound Brook High School in 1956.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Donald E. Brewer Sr.  She is survived by her daughters, Kelley Bless and Carrie (John) Brewer, and her son, Donald Brewer, Her grandsons, Jason (Barbara) DiPane, and Ian (Jeanette) Custode, and 7 great grandchildren, Jennifer, Anna, Ryan, Kylia. Lillian, Maxine, and Nola.

Funeral arrangements will be private by her own request.
