Barbara Gene Chartrand of Ocala, Florida passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 13, 2023. Born in Georgia on September 28, 1943, she was the daughter of Buel and Margaret Pitkin. Barbara grew up in Flint, Michigan. On September 28, 1961 she was united in marriage with Douglas Chartrand. She is survived by her husband of 61 years; Three children: Doug (Chris) Chartrand of Ocala, Florida, Bryan (Jackie) Chartrand of Flint, Michigan, Laura (David) Dollinger of Beaver, Pennsylvania; Seven grandchildren: Kevin, Adam (Shannon), Cecily (Andy), Olivia (Dexter), Melissa (Trent), Lucas, Emily; Three great-grandchildren: Noelle, Jamison, and Jaron. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Pitkin.

Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she cherished the time spent with them at Leisure Lake, Michigan and Ocala, Florida. She is fondly remembered for her constant smile, lively conversations, and amazing ''Candy Crush'' skills.
