In loving memory of Barbara C. Duckworth

July 17, 1934 – July 3, 2024

Barbara Mary Duckworth (née Correra), 89, of Port Orange, Florida, died Wednesday, July 3, 2024, of complications from pneumonia.  Barbara was born in Chicago, IL, on July 17, 1934, to Anthony and Teresa (née Bertolini) Correra. She married Z. Clark Duckworth on June 23, 1956.

Barbara enjoyed playing bridge, decorating, and entertaining.  In mid-life, Barbara discovered a hidden artistic ability.  She became an accomplished porcelain china painter, eventually teaching classes. She also dabbled in watercolor and oil painting.

Surviving Barbara are her children Cheryl Beise and Robert Scott Duckworth; her sisters Annette Pernarelli and Maureen Davis; her grandchildren Amanda Huibregtse, Nicole Montan, Jacob Duckworth, Christine Duckworth, and Jackson Duckworth; her great-granddaughters Eleanor, Evelyn, and Dorothy; her nephew Joe and her nieces Janet and Lisa.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clark (1999), and her son James Duckworth (2022).

A memorial gathering will be held at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, Port Orange, FL, on Sunday, July 14, from 1-3 pm.  Interment will be private at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington, IL.
