Following a lengthy battle with COPD, Barbara Jeanne Allen of Punta Gorda FL, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 24,2023. She was surrounded by her sons, daughter-in-law and her sisters who will miss her dearly.

Barbara is survived by her sons Bruce Allen of Erie, CO, and Thomas Allen III of Punta Gorda, FL, daughter-in-law Amy Allen of Punta Gorda, FL, grandson Tyler Allen of Tampa, FL, granddaughter Emma Allen of Orlando, FL, grandson Jack Allen of Erie, CO, granddaughter Parker Allen of Boulder, CO, sister Deb and Bob Swank of Madison, WI, brother Bill and Linda Meekins and brother Tom and Jane Meekins of Huron, SD, brother Ed and Mary Meekins of Omaha, NE, and Tom and Toni Allen of Lake Placid, FL.

Barbara liked to spend her time crocheting, swimming, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on her birthday September 01, 2023, in Punta Gorda, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to www.COPDfoundation.org.
