Barbara Jean Kalil, age 79, passed away August 1, 2020. She was born November 1, 1940 in Akron Ohio to Sam and Beatrice Kalil.  She attended "Our Lady of the Elms," an all-girls, faith-based school in Akron, Ohio.  She danced, sang, and played piano as young girl into her teens.

Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and "cat mom". She cherished her cat, Bella and loved to collect cat figurines and ornaments. Her favorite dish she cooked is Stuffed Green Peppers. Barbara enjoyed watching cooking, travelling and old western films on TV. Barbara's strength and resilience shone brightly as she was a beacon of comfort and encouragement for her family and friends. Barbara always said, "Do what makes you Happy". Barbara's kindness, sense of humor, and feistiness was truly a model of how to live a joyful life.

Barbara is survived by her children, Patricia, Michael, Richard Smith and Katheen Sullivan;  grandchildren, Samantha, Zak, Ryan and Troy Smith, Nicole Slavin, James, Jason, and Jennifer Noesner;  great-grandchildren, Karsyn, Quora, Clark, Ashlynn, and Seth;  son-in-law, Jonathan Brewer; and grandson-in-law, Bill Slavin.
