Obituary

Barbara Carole (Limoges) Kirdy went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on April 5, 2023. She was a true New Englander born October 2, 1942 in New Bedford Mass.; born to Angela (Spadaro) Limoges.

Barbara married the love of her life James S. Kirdy Sr. on September 16, 1961 beginning a love story that would last 60 years. He was her true Knight in Shining Armor. In 1979 they moved with their 5 children to Fort Myers, Florida to forge out a new and better life.

Barbara was predeceased in death by her loving husband she affectionately called "Jimmy" on August 19, 2021.

Barbara was a beloved Child of God, Wife, Mom, Grandmother and "Gigi" and a friend to many. She enjoyed her many friendships she made over the years especially her Online friends and groups. She was so IT tech savvy.

Barbara is survived by her loving children: Angela Barbara Kirdy, James Kirdy Jr. (Yvonne), Catherine Douglas (Joseph), Stephen Kirdy, Nadine Williams (Frank) and her 11 Grandchildren: Christina, Jaime, Joshua, Jonathan K, Joseph, Jonathan D.,Jordan, Francesca, Theodore, Stephen and Kaylee. 6 Great Grandchildren: Calista, Connor, Claire, Justice, Journey, Joshua D. She kept track of all her grandchildren and remembered them always.

Barbara was a Hairdresser by trade but she had many talents and skills. She was an artist from a young age creating her own comic strips. She crocheted and Knit. In her later years she donated many baby crocheted items to the hospital; blankets, pillows, outfits, booties. She was an amazing sewer and cook. She was famous for her Sunday Pasta sauce dishes. She enjoyed all of these life pleasures and more.

Barbara supported her husband always and lovingly and would help support the family over the years in retail management of C-Stores. She loved her family fiercely and she will be forever loved and missed terribly.
