Barbara Rivera, 68, of Port Orange passed away on August 31. A native of Mineola, New York, she came to this area from New York in 1968. Barbara was the co founder of Florida Kids Sale and had also worked in retail sales prior to retiring. She was a member of The Catholic Church of the Epiphany, Port Orange. Barbara treasured time spent with her family and never missed an opportunity to do so. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 32 years, Alcides Rivera and her children Lisa Nygren, Kristin Nygren and Sheri Nygren Igyarto, her brother Brian, sister Cathy, granddaughter Kaitlyn, grandsons Jacob and Jackson. Her family will celebrate her life with a service on Thursday, September 13 at 2:00 pm at the Catholic Church of the Epiphany, 201 Lafayette Street, Port Orange, FL 32127. There will be a reception afterwards at the Elks Lodge.   Memorials in her name may be made to the Catholic Church of the Epiphany.
