Obituary

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Barbara Robb passed away peacefully on July 3, 2023, at the age of 91, with her daughter by her side.
She was born to Olga and Harold Cleveland on March 5, 1932. She grew up in Omaha, graduating from Benson High School, home of the Benson Bunnies.  She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Omaha. She married Wally Robb in Omaha, on July 9, 1955, and began a family.
After graduation, she taught elementary school in Lincoln, Nebraska for several years before leaving teaching to raise her growing family.  They had four children together and were married over 25 years.
Mom and dad moved their family around the country a lot in the early years including Florida, Washington, Alabama and back to Florida where she started teaching Kindergarten at Tropical Elementary in Merritt Island. She always spoke fondly of the close friends she had from living and teaching on the Island. It brought a smile to her face when she ran into her past students and heard their stories knowing she was a little part of their lives. She retired from teaching kindergarten in her early 70's.
Mom was an avid reader and active book club participant. She enjoyed ice skating and dancing, taking lessons in both as an adult. She loved being around people and had passion for playing bridge with friends. She was a member and elder of Merritt Island Presbyterian Church. After her retirement, Barbara engaged in her community through various avenues including supporting her local theatre group and serving on the local arts council board. She loved her condo on Cocoa Beach.
Barbara was preceded in death by her former husband. She is survived by her younger brother Tom Pugh; four children, Ron (Rhonda), Robert (Polly) Lisa Bell (Scott) and Chris (Mara); 10 grandchildren, Adam, Ethan, Hayley, Jenny, Hudson, Parker, Riley, Ashley, Taylor and Fisher; and five great-grandchildren, Beau, Kate, Jack, Nora and Caroline.
The family is very grateful for the love and compassion given to her by her caregivers. She is profoundly missed and is always and forever loved.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
