Barbara Ruth Steiner passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on November 11, 2019. She was born in New York City.  Barbara graduated from The University of Connecticut with a degree in Physical Education.  A huge sports fan, Barbara played golf and bowled for much of her life.  She was also an avid fan of the ladies UConn Huskies basketball team.  She also enjoyed playing bridge several times a week.  Barbara was blessed with loving family and friends, she asked me to express to everyone how much she valued your relationships.  She is preceded in death by her husband George V. Steiner and her son David G. Steiner.  She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Campbell (Robert), grandchildren, Caroline Griggs and Daniel Griggs, Joshua Steiner and Lisabeth Steiner.  As was her request there will be no service.   In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Barbara be remembered through Vitas Hospice, 114 Canal Street Suite 100, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
