It is with great sadness that Barbara "Coon" Tefel passed at 10:09AM on Saturday, February 06, 2021.  Barbara was born in Bronx, NY on July 18, 1944.  Barbara was married to the love of her life, Joseph Tefel on November 8, 1964 who passed on September 10, 2010.

Barbara is survived by her brother George Coon, her 2 children, Dawn Tefel and Robin Posser, Grandchild Rochelle Posser and Great-Grandchild Ava Rose.

Barbara worked in the hospitality industry for most of her working days. She was a volunteer for nearly all organizations and extremely detailed for every holiday and planned event. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing, choreography for some well-known people, knitting, making clothing for herself and others, and baking gingerbread for her family, friends, and neighbors.

Barbara was surrounded by all her loved ones when she passed.  We held hands, said a beautiful prayer, and released her to peacefully rest.  She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.  She was truly beloved by all who knew her.  Always quick to tell a funny story or joke and show her love to all. She will truly be missed.

Barbara has requested there not be a service, but a virtual celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date with details to follow.
