Barise Lillanne
Borovicka
September 26, 1937 – February 17, 2026
Barise Lillanne Borovicka passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, in Orlando, Florida at the age of 88, with her daughter Briggett, son-in-law Ron, and grandson Colin by her side.
Born on September 26, 1937, in Orange, New Jersey, Barise lived a life defined by devotion to her grandchildren, steady faith, and consistent service.
She worked for Huish Family Fun Centers as a manager until her retirement in 1999. Her professional life reflected reliability and commitment, but her true passion was her family. She found her greatest joy in doing things with her grandchildren. Amusement parks, days at the beach, trips to the zoo, and countless other adventures fill their minds and hearts with memories of Grandma. Her love of sports, particularly the many years she spent playing volleyball, was another expression of her strength and enthusiasm for life.
Barise was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in the San Diego and Denver temple for many years. Her commitment was steadfast and her example consistent.
She was preceded in death by her sons Barry Thorpe, Bob Thorpe and stepson Bill (“Billy B.”) Garrison.
She is survived by her children Bill Thorpe (Rosemary) and Briggett Jensen (Ron); her stepchildren Debbie Schultz and Bob (“Bobby B.”) Garrison; her grandchildren Ryan Thorpe, Jared Thorpe, Adam Thorpe, Brennan Thorpe, Roseanne Shim, Deric Thorpe, Austin Thorpe, Kelvin Jensen, Colin Jensen, Alec Jensen, and Seth Jensen; eighteen great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
Her legacy is one of resilience, faith, and happy memories. The influence of her life will continue through her family for generations.
“Love Forever”
