Barry Blaine Lay passed away on June 15 in Ocala, Florida.

Born in Wagner, Ok., Barry was the third of five children born to Bobby Bennett Lay Sr and Berneice Olive Brendle Lay.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Bryan Blair Lay, Sr. Barry is survived by his children Amber Bergenson (William), Austin Lay (Heather), Kayla Tennant(Cory) and Chad Lay, His siblings Bobby Bennett Lay Jr, Barbara Lay Williams and Betsy Lay Eary (Stan) as well as his grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Barry grew up in the Ocala area. He graduated from Forest High School in 1974. He owned and operated several businesses in the Ocala area, Including Bargain Barry's Discount Foods. He also spent many years as a commercial long distance truck driver.

Barry loved music, and spent much of his youth playing drums and singing in local bands.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at The Lighthouse, 10333 SE Sunset Harbor Rd., Summerfield, Fl. All are welcome to share in this celebration!
