Basil Gunn Gray was born July 30,1938. He passed away at his home in New Smyrna Beach on April 24th 2015. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Basil also lived in Chicago and Indianapolis where he worked in the Electric business for Graybar Electric. Basil graduated from Lincoln High School in Jersey City and went on to NYU in New York City. He served our nation in the US Army veteran in the Korean War. Basil is survived by his wife, Susan, sister India Vale, daughter Michele Kaschl, son David Gray, step sons Gordon and Bruce Cantley and 5 grandchildren. He retired in 2000 to Florida where he met his wife at the Orange Tree Country Club in Orlando. After that to Sugar Mill C. C. in New Smyrna to carry on his love of golf. A memorial service will be held at the Baldwin funeral home in New Smyrna Beach at 4:00 PM on Friday, May 1. Charitable contributions can be sent to Halifax Hospice at 4140 S.
