Beatrice “Bea” Garland Stiles, formerly of Meadville, PA, passed away peacefully in Fort Myers, FL, on September 4, 2026, at age 94. A beloved wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend, she was born in Ehrenfeld, PA, on August 26, 1932, and lived a life filled with love and laughter.
Beatrice was the cherished daughter of the late James and Anna (Ryan) Garland. She proudly called Conneaut Lake, PA, home during her formative years and graduated from high school there in 1950. She continued her education at Edinboro Teacher’s College and later worked as a business manager at C.E. Stiles and Associates.
In May 1953, Beatrice married the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” Stiles. Their marriage brought more than 62 years of joyful memories and enduring love. Together, they built a close-knit family and a successful business, reflecting their deep devotion to each other. They also created a warm, loving home where family always came first.
Beatrice is survived by her three children: James Stiles (Judy) of Nags Head, NC; Michelle Servello of Cape Coral, FL; and Denise Stiles (Lori) of Fort Myers, FL. She is also survived by four treasured grandchildren — Richard (RC) Spina, Ashley Madrid, Brittany Panicaro (Michael), and Kaitlyn Stiles — and seven great-grandchildren: Christian, Jax, Kase, Titan, Laney, Rowan, and Cambri, who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, Louis Stiles of Erie, PA; her special niece, Julie Denison Albaugh; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Charles Stiles, Jr.; and her siblings: James Garland (Mabel), Albert Garland (Doris), Thomas Garland (Betty), Bernice Cutshall (Charles), Kenneth Garland (Patricia), and Linda Denison (Dale).
Beatrice enjoyed traveling, reading, playing bridge, solving crossword puzzles, crafting, shopping, and taking countless photographs. In the fall, she devoted Saturdays to Penn State football—WE ARE! Above all, she loved her family and treasured every moment with them, creating memories they will always hold dear.
Beatrice was active in her community through Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls, where she formed many cherished friendships. Known for her steadfast support, she was always ready to offer a listening ear or comforting embrace. Her legacy of love, laughter, and encouragement will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. As we say goodbye to this extraordinary woman, we carry her memory in our hearts and remain forever grateful for the time we shared.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Conneaut Lake Borough, 395 High St., Conneaut Lake. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m., with a luncheon afterward at the same location. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to VITAS Community Connection of Fort Myers, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or Stairways Behavioral Health in Erie, PA, in honor of Bea’s generous and compassionate spirit.
