Benjamin F. Dennis III, of The Villages, FL, formerly of Silver Spring, MD, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, after a brief stay in hospice. He was 82.

Born in 1942, Ben was the eldest of six siblings. A man of many talents, he had a passion for amateur sports car racing before turning to careers as a computer programmer and attorney. In retirement, he enjoyed golfing, working at Publix, and spending time with his beloved rescue pit bull, Keiki.

He is survived by his two children and their families: daughter Laura Dennis and her husband Misha Rakic, along with their children Danica, Maksim, and Kala Rakic-Dennis; and son Jami Dennis and his wife Lauren Stephenson, and their son Calvin Aedan Stephenson.

Ben will be remembered for his warmth, wit, and deep love for his dog.

A memorial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ben's memory may be made to a local animal rescue organization.
