Bernadette Jane Brooks, 70, of Florida passed peacefully after battling cancer for four years on December 15, 2016. She was born to the late Reinhardt Licht and Frances Dressal Licht on May 6, 1946 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

Much beloved mother, grandmother, and sister who will be missed, but not forgotten. Family and friends were Bernie's passion and delight. A gentle soul, she loved to host and entertain, and was famous for her annual Christmas Eve party.

Bernie was active and enjoyed sunbathing, travel, reading, dancing, socializing, beach trips, music, shopping, and baking cookies with her grandchildren.

Bernadette is survived by her two daughters, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her Cocker Spaniel Cinnamon. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
