IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bernard
Fullen Jr
September 20, 1952 – January 21, 2026
Bernard Fullen was born on September 20th, 1952, to Jessie Mae Fullen (Moses) and Bernard Fullen Sr. He graduated from Hope High School in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1970.
Bernard later enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served aboard the USS Midway CV41 and was part of the Crash and Salvage team. He completed a two-year tour of duty and was honorably discharged for his faithful service.
He later traveled as an evangelist alongside Demond Wilson, spreading the message of truth and unity to all that would receive.
In the mid 90’s, he relocated to Colorado, where he established his mortgage and real estate company, “Evan and William Group,” with offices in Rhode Island and Colorado. He helped hundreds of people obtain the American dream of home ownership.
Music was his first love; whether he was singing on the large stage as the lead vocalist for Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, or performing at an intimate venue as a solo artist.
Bernard was a very public person, yet very private. He loved people, and it gave him joy to help people in need. He helped from the heart and expected nothing in return.
Bernard had a multitude of long-time friends, along with his brothers from the Night-Walkers. Bernard cherished and protected his family. He was the big brother, uncle, father, grandfather, husband, and friend everyone could count on.
Bernard is survived by his wife, Teruyo; his 3 daughters, Tiondra Fullen and Tarsha Fullen of Florida, and Sarais Fullen-Betancourt of Rhode Island; along with his grandson, Bonaamusa Fullen of Florida. His siblings include Deborah Wesiah and her husband, Paul; Joann Dixon and late husband, James; Joseph Fullen, Andre Fullen, Dennis Fullen, and Nicole Bush, all of Rhode Island; Melvin Kimble and his wife, Denise of Georgia; Keith Kimble and his wife, Christine of Pennsylvania; and Pam Trader of Georgia, along with a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by Dawn Fullen, Victoria Fullen, Russell Fullen, and Anthony Fullen, all of Rhode Island.
