Bernard Frank Stark, 78 of Ocala, FL, passed away on March 5, 2025.

He was born in Chicago, IL on September 6, 1946, to Mildred Loveless and Bernard Frank Stark Sr. He graduated from Tuley High School. He married Mary Therese McCormick in 1968.

Bernard served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1968 where he did a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was wounded in combat and was awarded the Purple Heart. Bernard worked in news media and was employed by the Wall Street Journal for 43 years where he was part of a team responsible for assembling the daily newspaper. In 2001, He retired and moved to the Stonecreek Community in Ocala, FL. Bernard was a member of the Stonecreek Veterans Association, and He also played on the Stonecreek softball team.

Bernard is survived by His wife, Mary Stark (McCormick), Sons Michael and Matthew Stark, Daughter Tunala Connell, Grandsons, Raoh and Qingston Connell, and Brother, Gerald Stark. He is preceded in death by His Mother, Mildred Loveless, Father, Bernard Frank Stark Sr, Stepfather, Louis Yactor, and Sister, Elizabeth Weber (Stark).

Funeral arrangements are TBD at Arlington National Cemetery.
