Bernie Brewer was born in Middletown, OH on January 14, 1933 to parents Merida and Cora Brewer.  He married Mary (Gerry) Campbell, his homeroom sweetheart on June 9, 1951.

Bernie served four years in the Navy during the Korean War before making their home in Centerville, OH for 49 years.  They became snowbirds for 19 years in the Villages before becoming permanent residents.  Bernie was extremely active in the Antioch Shrine, both in OH and the Villages.  He served in the Marching Patrol and several different offices throughout the years, including Grand Potentate.

Bernie Graduated from Miami University in 1967 and worked as an engineer for Monsanto until he retired in 1990.  He was an avid golfer and loved playing cards with family and friends.  He was a member of the Church of the Spring: Villages Campus.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, parents, and his two sisters Bea Pombles and Barbara Taulbee.  He is survived by sons, Timothy L. (Jaylene) Brewer of Ripley, WV, Michael K. Brewer of Myrtle Beach, SC, granddaughters, Rebekkah L (Mark) Klontz of Xenia, OH, Mary Beth (Mike) Roos of Vandalia, OH, and Charity Rees of Anderson, IN, as well as four great grandchildren: Rylan Savage, Tayrn Roos, Grady Roos, and Cameron Rees.  He is also survived by sisters Betty Banks and Brenda Brewer.
