Bette J. Hergert, aged 81, passed away on November 26, 2024, in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Born on May 6, 1943, Bette dedicated much of her life to the healthcare sector, working as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Halifax Hospital, where she notably served as a Charge Nurse.

She graduated from Mainland High School and furthered her education at Daytona State, which equipped her with the skills needed for her compassionate career. Bette was a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Ormond Beach, FL, where she participated in various community activities.

Outside her professional life, Bette cherished boating, road trips, shopping, and especially spending time with her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

The family invites friends and loved ones to a memorial service to be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Bailey Riverbarge Gardens, Chapel, 1 N. Beach St., Ormond Beach, FL. The service will commence at 2:30 p.m. This gathering will be an opportunity to share and listen to stories celebrating Bette's remarkable life, honoring her as a steadfast matriarch and cherished friend.
