Betty Stephens Barber, 97, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at her home in The Villages, Florida. She was born in Durham, N.C., the daughter of the late Earl Stephens and Hazel Andrews Stephens.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barber is also predeceased by her husband, Herbert Richard Barber; and two sons Richard Alan Barber, and Donald Earl Barber.

While living in The Villages, Florida, Betty enjoyed playing golf, tennis, bowling, and bridge. She led a very full and active life, making friends, and volunteering for causes she supported.

Mrs. Barber is survived by her daughter, Linda Barber Krecicki (Jerry); David Bradley Barber (Cynthia); daughter-in-law Doris Barber; grandchildren Jay Woods (Christy), Brian Krecicki (Alexis), Alan Barber (Lisa), and Cindy Dunnagan.
