Obituary

Betty Ann Turner Ellison, 90, passed away peacefully on May 8th, 2025, at home in Ocala, FL.
Betty was born in Winnsboro, SC, to Louie Eugene and Nancy Marion Turner on September 7th, 1934. She enjoyed listening to Elvis, gardening, coaching Khoury League Softball in Miami, spending time with family, and volunteering at Southwest Presbyterian Church in Miami. On August 14, 1950, Betty married the love of her life, Robert Wright Ellison. Betty's occupations included bookkeeping & shop owner of a Thrift Store.
Betty was predeceased by her parents, Louie Eugene and Nancy Marion Turner; husband, Robert Wright Ellison; son, Robert Wright Ellison Jr; and grandson Zachary Andrew Smith.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Phillis Bradham (Mike), Mary Jane Dodd, Margaret "Betsy" E. Hamelink (John), Madeline Ellison Smith, Betty Ann Mathews (Richard); son, Robert "Butch" Ellison; sister, Patricia Iorillo; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She will always be remembered for putting others before herself, being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
A private burial will be held at Lebanon Presbyterian Church.
